Whitney Lake Bible Camp Guest Group Rental Policies

Leaders of guest groups who wish to rent Whitney Lake Bible Camp must acquaint themselves with our rental policies, philosophy, and goals. It is our expectation that groups who rent our camp will not promote any ideology or lifestyle that is contrary to the principles and the purpose for which our camp exists. To book the facility you must be willing to sign our rental application in recognition that you can agree to use the camp within the parameters of the rental policies. Please read the following information over carefully so that you will be aware of our expectations. If after reading this information you still have questions, please contact us for further information.

1. We do not provide food catering for groups.  If groups wish to have food they must bring their own.  When groups cook for themselves, they are responsible for leaving the kitchen in as good condition as they found it.
2. No alcohol beverages or drugs, not prescribed by a physician or not for use for medical purposes, can be brought with the group or consumed on our property.
3. We seek to maintain a "smoke free" environment. Smoking is not permitted on the camp grounds.
4. Dances are not to be held on the camp property.
5. Cabin groups made up of campers who are 18 years of age and under must have an adult leader residing in the cabin with the group.
6. Cabins and washrooms designated for girls are out of bounds to boys and vice-versa.
7. We urge that all groups have a knowledgeable first aid person, preferably a nurse in their core of leaders.  Medical supplies or a first aid kit must be supplied by the group.
8. Dogs are permitted on the camp property but must be on a leash at all times.
9. Whitney Lake Bible Camp has insurance for their facility, activities and staff members; however, Whitney Lake Bible Camp cannot be responsible for accidents and sickness incurred by our rental groups. Therefore, we urge these groups to provide sickness, accident and liability insurance that will cover their campers and staff.
10. If at any time there is inappropriate and or criminal conduct by a rental group, Whitney Lake Bible Camp reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement without any prior notice regardless of any other oral or written statement.

Whitney Lake Bible Camp Checklist for Guest Groups

Our rental rates are based on the expectation that groups will leave the camp as clean as they found it.  This “CHECKLIST” has been prepared to guide you through your clean-up procedures.

Grounds and Program areas:

1. All garbage needs to be in garbage bags, tied shut and placed in the green garbage bin.
2. All pop cans and bottles must be put in designated cans.
3. Make sure all water taps are turned off.
4. Be sure that any equipment used is returned to its storage place.

Dining Hall:

1. Wash and put away all utensils, cutlery, dishes, etc.
2. Sweep dining hall / kitchen floor.
3. ALL garbage and recyclable items need to be in designated spots (see #’s 1&2 of Grounds and Program areas).
4. If you have done your own cooking, make sure that all burners, ovens and fans are off.  Also take all your extra food or leftovers with you.
5. Make sure all windows and doors are closed and lights are off when you leave.

Cabins:

1. All garbage needs to be in garbage bags, tied shut and placed in the green garbage bin.
2. Sweep the floors.
3. BE SURE to take all personal belongings with you.
4. Turn off all electric heaters and lights.
5. Close all windows and doors.
